NEW STUDY FOR OAB - NOW ENROLLING
Overactive Bladder (OAB) affects millions of women of all ages, and can impact nearly every aspect of daily life. OAB symptoms vary from person to person, but often include:
- Urgency – Feeling a strong, sudden urge to urinate that is difficult to control
- Frequency – Urinating too often
- Leakage – Accidental wetting after a sudden urge
Right now, doctors at select centers throughout the US are conducting a new research study for women who are struggling with OAB and want a convenient, non-invasive, non-medication treatment option to help control their symptoms. This study will evaluate a new, discreet, non-invasive, wearable medical device (the FemPulse vaginal ring), which is designed to reduce your bothersome OAB symptoms (see video).
If you qualify and choose to join the study, you will be seen by a local women’s health specialist and will receive all study-related care at no cost.
The study lasts approximately 12 months. During this time, you will be asked to evaluate this investigational device during your regular day-to-day routiine. The study is designed to compare this investigational device to a common OAB medication. You will be asked to trial the device for 1 year or a medication for 6 months first, before starting with the device. You will be expected to meet with your local study team on average about once per month to discuss your experiences and evaluate your OAB symptoms. You will be compensated for your time and efforts.
